Distribution of Cladonia imbricarica

    Hi everyone,


    I am trying to track down the North American distribution of Cladonia imbricarica for a research project. The most information I could find about it is from this publication in The Lichenologist https://doi.org/10.1017/S0024282989000319 which states that it is known from Iceland and Wyoming. I was wondering if anyone had any insights as to where they have seen this lichen or where they would expect to see it.

    Hi Garry,

    It is very common up in the Moses Coulee area of WA, I have lots of collections and a list of the plots where we found it in 2013-2014. Unfortunately I can't easily find the plot locations but probably could if you really need to know.

    Heather Root also found it in central OR in 2012.

    I'd say it is common in both states in the correct soil crusty sort of place.
