UV viewing box recommendations?

    Hi everyone,

I have a handheld UV lamp, but I think I would like to purchase a small UV viewing box for my home lab.  There seem to be a number of options out there - does anyone have a recommendation for an inexpensive one (ideally less than $500) that might work well for small lichen samples and can accomodate short-wave and long-wave bulbs?

    Thanks!
    Ken

well, I have a very cheap one. I took a cardboard box that is just shorter than the length of the UV lamp, cut notches so that it can sit there just below the level of the lid flaps, then folded the top flaps over, and cut a viewing hole in the top flap.

I cut a hole in the bottom of one side for putting the specimens in.

Kind of tacky but it has worked for 30 years.

Cool - thanks, Daphne!  I'll see if I can find a suitable box and give that a try!
