It's not that easy to find Lecania in the PNW, so any Lecania here is a good find. But I often have an experience like you describe of not being completely satisfied with identifications. Most of the species concepts applied here are European in origin and we could easily have similar but different (undescribed) species.

Now seems likely that Lecania incorrect - not found.
