Survey Proposal Advice

    Hey everyone,

I was recently asked to conduct a formal lichen and bryophyte survey of a small peatland nature preserve, and I need to provide them with a project proposal. I know we have a lot of great contracted lichenologists here and I’m hoping to get some guidance on how to format a proposal and what things to include. There are a few things I’m already planning on including:

    • Overall Project Timeline
    • Compensation Expectations
    • Materials Needed
    • Site Visits
    • Project Output Deliverables

Part of this partnership will likely involve some public classes and nature walks. I have an idea of how to plan these out, but again, any advice and recommendations would be very helpful. This is the first time I’ve done this in such a formal fashion and it’s definitely a little intimidating!

If anyone has examples of previous proposals they’ve submitted, I’d love to see them. I’m also curious to hear what compensation people have received from work like this, so I have a better idea of what a fair request would look like.

Feel free to email me at ryanbalkcom@gmail.com.

    Thanks everyone!

    Ryan
