    Hi all,

Here we go again! In the photo gallery is a picture of a Caloplaca on Populus from a riparian area. The disk is K+R. What the problem is, is that the spore size is 18-23 X 7.5-10.25 microns. The septum is around 2.5 microns.

I have gone through the Sonoran Desert books and Microlichens of the Pacific Northwest and neither have a spore that large.

The picture is captioned Wood River. Anybody have an idea about this lichen?
