    Hi gang,

I need a little help with a crustose on moss over rock from east of the Cascades. It looks and has spores like a Diploschistes. The spores are large, from about 38.4 to 48.6 X 23. to 30.7ยต. Thallus and medulla are K- C- KC- P- I-. The apothecia is I+B and lecanorine, with 8 spores per ascus.

    Pictures in gallery marked #1428.

    Cheers.

    Daph,

Do you have a description for Megaspora verrucosa var. mutabilis? Bruce Ryan found that variety very near where I found my specimen.
