Hey fellow lichen enthusiasts, we are Evergreen students researching lichen snail interaction. One focus of our research is to identify lichens that have visible grazing damage. We’ve run into a couple dead ends on keying some of our lichens and would like the help of the greater lichen community. We believe the photos attached could be Pertusaria (syn. Lepra) opthalmiza. We ran chemical tests and they all came back negative. K- C- P-. Can you help confirm our ID of the lichen, please. Thanks for all of your help.

that looks pretty good to me, but I'd test KC before deciding. Apply K then while it is still wet apply C. Use small amounts, less than a drop so it is easily visible. Did you taste it? it could be L. amara. And what you are seeing could be mixed, so the taste test is especially helpful in the field.
