    Hi all,

I need one more species to make 200 at the Lava Beds National Monument!!

Hope someone can help ID either one of these lichens (pictures in photo gallery).

the gray one (LABE-376) cortex and medulla is K- KC- C-, on soil over rock. Lendemer says it has a areolate corticate thallus. The granules are approx .2mm across.  The brown one (LABE-405) the medulla is K- KC+Red C+Red. Parts are on stalks with a ball at the end. Lobes are 1 to 2.5mm across. I believe it has perithecia, but I haven't found any spores. This one is on rock. Both are from east of the Cascades.

Hope someone out there can help.

    Thanks,

    Steve
