Posting some photos for identification. Keys to Lecidea (Didn’t check ascus type with iodine.) Thought might be L. lapicida except the medulla is negative for both K and Iodine. (Yellow bleeds off apo sxn with K.) Apothecia ≤ 1mm, spores average 10x5µm. On Si rock, 3,600’, near Snoqualmie Pass, WA. Want to know because its quite abundant and also because I like it.

Richard, everything fits for Lecidea lapicida (including the photos with the rusty staining, which is very common in this species) except that the inner exciple should be I+ blue. When you have a relatively thick thallus (as in your photos), sometimes there are I- portions of the medulla. So I would go on the I reaction of the exciple (before applying K or other reagents).
