New Erioderma sorediatum location

Last Sunday I drove to Cape Disappointment with Elise & Isabel. We were scouting the area to take some homeschooled kids on a lichen walk in February. I ended up finding Erioderma sorediatum on a spruce right on the trail! There were many small thalli on the branches. I wasn't able to find it on other trees but I had limited time to look. This is the same location with the huge patch of Pseudocyphellaria hawaiiensis that Elise found on mossy rock right off the beach.

Nice find! I appreciate the detailed photos of the upper surface (around the 7 or 8th photo on iNat) that show the erect tomentum quite well.

Nice find, Kaitlyn. I am glad you had so many images of it for easy confirmation!

    Katherine.
