Peltigera from Coeur d'Alene River, ID

I have posted several pictures of what I think is Peltigera cinnamomea.  I collected it in the Coeur d'Alene River drainage, on a rocky ridge line, close to the Montana boarder.  It has been collected east of there, in Montana, but is found mostly in BC as I understand it.  It is not in the Macrolichens of PNW or Brodo.  I found a site online that discussed the differences between P. cinnamomea and P. membranacea.  Any input on this would be appreciated.

It's hard to say for sure when it is so wet -- really need to let it dry so you can study the distribution of tomentum on rhizines and veins. But I would guess P. membranacea for this. P. cinnamomea usually grows in rather flat array of lobes.

I think that cinnamomea is keyed in McCune and Geiser, but doesn't get full page treatment. I think there will be lots of Idaho sites once people learn the species and start looking for it.

Thank you Bruce!  I see it now in the key.  I'll look at the dry rhizines.  Thanks for the help.  TK
